Music plays an integral role in the spiritual life of St. Peter's. We have two main music groups - Chancel Choir and "Strike The Rock" - that sing on alternate Sundays. Chancel Choir is our traditional choir, with organ or piano accompaniment. "Strike The Rock" is our contemporary Christian music group. Additional groups that sing from time to time include our Teen Choir and Youth Choir. Individuals from the congregation who wish to share their musical talents are always welcome to participate in the service.
Pastor Hope also plays piano and guitar, and has composed many songs. The latest, "God's Own Yes," premiered during the worship service celebrating the 30th anniversary of his ordination. His wife, Pastor Linda Harle-Mould, frequently joins him.
St. Peter's is proud to sponsor "Strike The Rock," an upbeat, Christian music group. Whether it's the soulful implications of Ken Medema's "Home," the soaring welcome of "Glory, Glory Alleluia," or the thrilling resonance of Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit In The Sky," audiences always come away uplifted and reenergized.

MUSIC MINISTRY: Strike The Rock's mission is to spread the word of God to the community through its music outreach ministry. They would love to share with your church, group or organization, and are open to a variety of formats. CDs: Strike The Rock has two CDs available. A Christmas collection, "To The World Love God" includes: "Go Tell It On The Mountain," "Once In Royal David's City," and "Rise Up Shepherd and Follow." Copies are available at a price of one for $15 or two for $25.

Chancel Choir, our traditional choir, is under the direction of Alfred (Al) C. Plant who has 25 years of church musicianship experience. The choir has grown under Al’s direction both in numbers and in the repertoire performed. The choir sings for our church services every other Sunday and on all special services throughout the year such as Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Christmas Eve. Membership in the Chancel Choir is open to anyone with the desire to sing. For more information about the choir, please leave a message for Al Plant at the church office.
